Oggi le comunicazioni personali hanno subмto un rivoluzionario cambiamento rispetto al passato. Uomini d’affari, giornalisti, semplici turisti ecc., considerano ormai una necessitа irrinunciabile la possibilitа di potersi collegare ad Internet durante i loro spostamenti.

Questa considerazione ha stimolato la proprietа dell’Hotel Lancaster a predisporre una rete WiFi tale da consentire agli Ospiti la connessione ad Internet da qualsiasi zona dell’Albergo.
L’impianto, commissionato a FARP Elettronica srl (www.farp.com), azienda con esperienza ultraventennale nel settore dell’”information technology”, e' stato collaudato alla fine del mese di giugno 2005 aggiungendosi ai giа numerosi servizi che l’Hotel Lancaster rende disponibili ai propri Ospiti.

COME FUNZIONA?

• L’utente chiede alla reception di potersi collegare ad Internet;
• L’operatore, stampa il “Welcome tiket” contenente la data, l’ora, la login,
  la password e l’SSID (nome della rete Wireless) e lo consegna all’Ospite;
• L’utente, inserendo nel proprio PC i dati indicati sul “Welcome ticket” si collega ad Internet per il tempo prestabilito.

In order to fulfill Customers’ needs, HOTEL LANCASTER is providing an internet connection in every location inside its building.
This system, created and deployed by FARP (www.farp.com), a company with more than 20years experience in “Information Technology” field, was approved at the end of June 2005 and it adds a new valuable feature to the other numerous opportunities offered by Hotel Lancaster.

HOW DOES IT WORK?

• User asks the reception to be connected to internet
• Operator prints a “welcome ticket” with date, time, login, password, SSID (name of the wireless lan) and gives it to the user.
• User types information printed on the “welcome ticket” on his Personal Computer so he can be connected to internet thruout the agreed period of time.
